toeryn
Hi, I am running an ASUS P5N32-E SLI motherboard with 2 packs of TWIN2XP2048-6400C4 (total of 4Gb of RAM). i am currently running RAM at 2.1v, 5-5-5-18 at 800Mhz. When i try to run it at 4-4-4-12, it gets as far as the vista log on screen, i try to log in, and it sits there and never progresses past, loading my settings in. furthermore, if i run at 5-5-5-18 with the default (automatically selected) 1.95v, i have problems booting the system, getting the blue screen of death on occasions and random crashes. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 20, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 20, 2007 With 4 modules I would suggest DDR667, or if you try to run them at DDR800 set the timings to Cas 5-5-5-15 and set the TRC to 24 and set the NB/MCH Voltage to +.05 Volts and see if its more stable. fcorsairk
Ram Guy, I was unable to locate my mobo on the Corsair site, webpage, memory configuration. What would be my settings for the Asus M2A-VM mobo with the AMD AM2 4000 ADO CPU? I don't yet do overclocking- just trying to get the hang of upgrading. Thanks- and excuse any misuse of terminology. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 2, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 2, 2008 You can get the tested settings from the link in my signature, I am sorry as I do not have MB specific settings, if the settings that are listed are hard to find I would suggest asking the MB maker to help you.
