Stability Problems.... with TWIN2X2048-10000C5DF

Hi guys,

im having a litttle trouble pin pointing my problems im running into...

Firstly my computer specs are as follows:

E6850 @ 3.6Mhz

2 x MSI 8800 OC Ultra's - 660/1150

2Gb Corsair TWIN2X2048-10000C5DF 1250Mhz

EVGA n680i

Razer Barracuda AC-1 + Razer Headphones

Enermax Galaxy DXX 1000W SLI

2 x 1Tb WD | 1 x 500Gb WD | 1 x 200Gb WD | 1 x 120Gb WD

Antec 900 case

LG L226W

Problem: i could be playing a game and suddenly the computer freezes or i get 0.5 fps sometimes i am able to end task the game and when i get back into windows its better but you can see it not runnning properly (or seems that way) if the computer freezes usually the screen goes blank, until i hit the reset switch... Ive had a few instances where im playing and its crashes n i get 50mm x 50mm blank squares, weird thing is that it hardly BOSD's

1st I thought it was my RAM so i took it back and got a new set, its was fiine for a bit and i was like sweeet then it started happening again.... BUT this is the weird part, if i put my PQI 800mhz ram into the system it runs fine....

So im thinking maybe it got something 2 do with the SLI enabling RAM's? hence problem with the mainboard.

The system is less than 2 months old.. am i clocking the memory 2 high they say it supports 1200 SLI ram but its running at 1250. i dont think i would but maybe??

It mite be a voltage problem??? could some1 give me some voltage settings for CPU, FSB etc....

any thought are helpful...

hey thanks for the reply... i set everything to stock no overclocking at all and still get issues :( then i decided to knock it down 2 800mhz... now testing Question could it be the ram overheating? at 1250mhz cause it runs at 2.4v stock.. is it just this type that could be doing it???

With that CPU they will not over clock as well a say a E6400 and by default your CPU runs at a higher clock frequency so the closer you get to 333Mhz and above the memory frequency will have to be more in sync with the CPU because of a bottleneck in the memory controller.

oic... so techincally i will be able to run it at 1250mhz when i upgrade in jan/feb with my 780i motherboard and the new cpu's they will be releasing?? will it be able to run at clock speed lets say if i got the 600 FSB cpu? then comes the case if having a motherboard that supports 600 FSB....

ahahha its like a circle :) atm its set at 1066mhz seems to be stable but ill give it a week and see wat happens

OK No problem and yes that is basically it, but I would search for some reviews on the MB and CPU combination and see what reviewers have done for more help with the settings. Sorry but I can tell you how to over clock.
