stiggy
In february this year i bought a set of Corsair Dominator TWIN2X6400C4D 2048MB, DDR2,2x1GB(KIT),DHX,E.P.P, CL4-4-4-12T Now as i can see from every (web) store is that this memory is not sold/build anymore. I have recently leanred that no OS can use more then 3072mb unless its 64bit. I have installed Viste x64 and wanted to expand my memory slots with a second serving of my memory mentioned above....what alternative can i use next to my current?! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 19, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 19, 2007 6400c4d was replaced by 6400c4dhx (name change only) The only other differences is that the DHX version has silver heatspreaders, and they do not have an EPP. stiggy
No epp>? so what does that mean for the 4-4-4-12 latency support? i have overclocked my memory with epp standards....so does that mean that the dhx version does not support those same figures (or perhaps not as stable as the dominator series?) Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 21, 2007 They are tested set Cas 4-4-4-12 just you will have to set them manually and if you are going to mix them with the other modules you would need to manually configure them any way. Just set them to DDR667 at 2.1 Volts at the tested settings and Voltage and make sure the TRC if its listed is set to 24 and the command Rate its set to 2T.
