teazer84 Posted December 18, 2007 Share Posted December 18, 2007 Hey guys I'm new here and have recently run into problems with some new ram. i currently have 2X1gb of TWIN2X2048-5400C4 @ 667mhz ram and purchased some new 2x1gb TWIN2X2048-6400 @ 800mhz. I'm trying to run all 4 sticks on my setup but the performance is slower than with just 2 sticks of 5400 ram 667mhz. i sometimes get a BSOD at startup but my overall performance is horrible help would much be appreciated thanx. i am running vista 64bit ultimate my specs are as follows: intel c2d e6600 (2.4 stock) asus p5n32-e-sli-premium 2X1gb of TWIN2X2048-5400C4 @ 667mhz 320gb hdd SATAII 7200 rpm xfx 8800 gtx (stock) antec trio 650 watt psu Vista Ultimate 64 bit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 19, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 19, 2007 I would try and set the timings to Cas 4-4-4-12 at DDR667 and set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts and set the NB/MCH Voltage to +.05 Volts and if you are using Windows Vista You'll need to install MS patch 929777 from Microsoft for more than 3 GIG in Win Vista. you can search for it at http://www.microsoft.com.
