Geolem
Hello, I agree with you, my title is quiet strange and not explicit but... I have buy a Twinx1024-3200C2 (version 1.5) kit in July 2005 and I have only found over eBay :[pouts: the same kit (version 1.5 too). I would like to put it on a "old" config based on a motherboard Abit An8 Ultra (4 bank memory). I would like to know, if the wanted kit, witch is the same modele and version, would work in Dual Channel or not. Joined to this post, a screenshot of the Abit AN8 Ultra manual. What is the difference between "single rank" and "double rank" ? Thanks a lot in advance for your attention. :):
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 18, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 18, 2007 I would suggest just replacing what you have now with one set of Twinx2048-3200C2 modules for best performance, if you install for 512 Meg modules you will be limited to DDR333. Are you sure of that ? What happens if I put all ram at DDR 400 ? I simply can't boot ? Twinx2048-3200C2 cost 170€ (245USD). I have Twinx1024-3200C2 for less than 30€... Thanks for your attention. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 18, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 18, 2007 Hard to say for sure, just have to try it, but most likely it would not be stable with 4 modules at DDR400. But you are welcome to try it if you want to take that risk.

I think that I will try but, if it doesn't work, I give it to a friend :) Do you know if the ram of this kit is in double rank or single rank ?
