16GB Flash Voyager not working with Asus eee pc

I have a 16 GB Corsair Flash Voyager that works fine for me in other machines, but for some reason it is not working in my Asus eee pc.

dmesg returns:

[ 1214.560000] usb 5-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3

[ 1216.460000] usb 5-2: device descriptor read/64, error -32

[ 1216.690000] usb 5-2: device descriptor read/64, error -32

[ 1216.920000] usb 5-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4

[ 1217.040000] usb 5-2: device descriptor read/64, error -32

[ 1217.270000] usb 5-2: device descriptor read/64, error -32

[ 1217.500000] usb 5-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5

[ 1217.920000] usb 5-2: device not accepting address 5, error -32

[ 1218.040000] usb 5-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 6

[ 1218.460000] usb 5-2: device not accepting address 6, error -32

Does anyone know how I can get this to work in the eee pc? I've tried it in all of the external usb ports and I also tried connecting it through a hub. The same 16GB flash voyager works in my other machines. To test to make sure the eee pc is working with usb flash I also tried a 4gb sandisk cruzer and an 8gb adata and it worked properly - it is just the flash voyager that is not being accepted.

Thanks.

What version of Windows are you using? If its Windows Vista this might help you:

I would check this link as it seems to be a common issue with Vista

http://teknobabble.wordpress.com/2007/08/18/vista-driver-problems-installing-a-usb-media-reader-a-solution/

This seems to work as well.

Go to Local Disk ©, got to Windows, got to System32, go to Driverstore, go to Filerepository, go to usbstor.inf ( click the on that is newest), cop ythe usbstor.inf and usbstor.PNF files. After you have copied the two files got to Windows, inf folder and paste the files in that folder. Now your usb devices (flash drives, hard drives, ipods, etc.) should work.
