aktex1
Hy! I have some trouble with the Turbo Flash 1GB. If i plug in, Vista write, that it is unsupported. What can i do? I have a Toshibs Satellite A215-S4747. I did not find any drivers for the USB, and so i dont know, if it is a problem by the USB or by the Turbo Flash Drive. regards AkteX1
Wired
http://www.corsair.com/products/turboflash.aspx The TurboFlash is certified for ReadyBoost, however this may have nothing to do with your error. Do you get this error when simply plugging it in, or when attempting to set it up for ReadyBoost?
aktex1
Hy Wired. Thank you for your fast reply. When i plug the Turbo Flash in, a box over the Shortcut appers, that says: The device can Perform faster. If i click it, a dialog box appers, where i can choose the USB Port, where it is pluged in. I have made some Screens: This is the dialog box: http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/1427/turboflash1ra0.th.jpg If i make a double click on the USB Port, than this appares: http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/6427/turboflash2lq4.th.jpg Here the second: http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/2367/turboflash3fz2.th.jpg And the last one: http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/8682/turboflash4fj4.th.jpg I hope there you could see, if there is something wrong. He write, that it is unsupported, if i make a right click and properties at the explorer, and go to ready boost: http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/310/turboflash5uy3.th.jpg
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 10, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 10, 2007 I would try removing it and then remove the drive and then remove all devices listed in device manager with no other USB devices connected and restart your system and the try it again. aktex1
I tried it today, with the same end. Now i´ve read exacly, what the problem is: He write, that i have to connect the device (Turbo Flash) to one of the listed USB Hubs. Now i have tried every Port on the Laptop (2 left and 2 right, but 10 are listed). Every port is the the same. I cant find the right ports. regards aktex1
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 11, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 11, 2007 Can you test the drive in another system?
aktex1
I have no other system with Vista. I have two other systems, bot all of them have XP installed. This is my first system with Vista. regards aktex1
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 11, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 11, 2007 Does it work in the XP systems? If so there is some other issue with your Vista system. You can get more help with that issue from this site. But this seems to work as well: Go to Local Disk ©, got to Windows, got to System32, go to Driverstore, go to Filerepository, go to usbstor.inf ( click the on that is newest), copy the usbstor.inf and usbstor.PNF files. after you have copied the two files got to Windows, inf folder and paste the files in that folder. Now your USB devices( flash drives, hardrives, ipods, etc.) should work.
aktex1
But all my USB devices work well (like the MP3 Player, Mouse, Harddisk). But i tried this now also, but the problem is still the same. I can see the Flash Drive on My Computer, and can open it (there i see a WMPinfo.xml). regards aktex1
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 11, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 11, 2007 Please try to format the drive from a command prompt with this syntax: Format (X:) /FS:FAT32 /U (X=the drive letter assigned to the Flash Voyager) If you still have problems we can get it or them replaced, please use the RMA request found in TSXpress or follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
