gansta
Hi, I'm in the process of waiting for the following 2 items GIGABYTE 775 X38+ICH9R motherboard and Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX. My question is will I have any compatibility problems. I just want to put the ram in and don't need to play with the voltage in the motherboard. Thanks. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 4, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 4, 2007 These modules would require you to set the memory timings and Voltage to Cas 4-4-4-12 at 2.1 Volts to run them at their tested setting and it would have to be set manually with that MB. gansta
Will I still be able to boot up so I can go in the BIOS and change the setting by just putting in the ram?
DerekT
Will I still be able to boot up so I can go in the BIOS and change the setting by just putting in the ram? Yes, you will boot up at auto settings of 5-5-5-18 and 1.8V. Then you enter the BIOS and set to 4-4-4-12 and 2.1V. Then test with memtest from http://www.memetest.org and allow for two full passes.
