Valerian
My question is, I've been looking at the vx450 to power an EVGA 8800 GT card for my HP a1730n. I wanted to know if the vx450 would fit in my stock HP a1730n case and if it would be compatible. Here is a link to my Motherboard specs if that is useful: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00757531&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=3339287&dlc=en&lang=en Thank you for your help. Valerian
Does anyone know if these power supplies will work in any stock HP case? That would help. Help would be greatly appreciated. I also know that this corsair vx450 power supply is 0.2 inches taller than the stock one inside my HP. The HP psu fits into a bracket. I don't know if this might be a problem. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 4, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 4, 2007 You would need to contact HP and find out if the motherboard used in that case is compliant with ATX 12v 2.0 or later. Some OEM systems will use a proprietary PSU and HP is really the only one that would know for sure whether that particular system would support after-market PSUs.
