degroffd
So I get my Corsair VX450W today and hook it up to the new system that I am building, i have everything hooked up and i power on the system. It wouldn't post and after a few seconds I smelled melting plastic. I quickly unplugged the system from the wall and discovered that the chain of "ports" that I was using to supply power to my floppy disk (old school, I know) and DVD drive was melting. Upon closer inspection it looks like the floppy power plug had a manufacturing defect and was shorted, causing the melting. What do I do?! I'm obviously not going to try powering it on again with this power supply. Help, please.
