mixi_80
Hi folks, I'm writing you all, because I had a problem with SO-DIMM DDR Memory from Corsair. Actually, I bought two DDR Modules (VS1GSD333G) as a memory upgrade (I had 2X512 mb) for my Fujitsu Siemens laptop (Model: Amilo Pro V2020). The problem is, when I install both new modules, the Operating System (Windows Vista) hang up on the starting screen. So I tought, maybe it could be the problem in Vista, but I started also the Linux (Fedora 8) and got the same. Hang up on the starting process.... Bios has found 2 Gb of memory, and I tested both modules with ram tester from Fedora. They are error-free. I have to mention, that when I use the combination of 1 new DDR module (1 Gb) with another old module (512 Mb) = 1.5 Gb, the whole thing works without problems. Does somebody knows, where could be the problem? Thx Mixi
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted November 26, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 26, 2007 Please install the new modules and then go to BIOS setup and load setup defaults and exit saving changes and see if it will run and pass http://www.memtest.org.
