Problems with either motherboard or HX-520 PSU

Need help with determining if I'm having Motherboard or power supply issues.

To Start I have a Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 motherboard and HX520 power supply.

The issue is when I attempt to start my PC by hitting the power button ... the PSU powers up and hangs at the memory test. I would than have to unplug the power cord from PC and plug it back in and hit the start button and this time it would start and than stop and start up again and boots all the way into Windows with no problems.

If I power down ... I would have to go through this cycle again where I have to unplug the power cord and plug it back in for it to boot into windows.

This is a pain in the back if I have to pull my PC out to reach the power cord each time I want to use my PC.

If anyone has the same experience with this combo motherboard/PSU please I need you help and advise on what needs to be done to fix this issue.

I would recommend that you make sure you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard, load setup defaults in the BIOS, and then test the memory with http://www.memtest.org.

You may also want to try the steps outlined in this thread: http://www.asktheramguy.com/v3/showthread.php?t=63991, and make sure that the PSU stays powered on. If the PSU is powering on just fine in this test, then there may be an issue with your motherboard or memory.
