deftons56
I have 2 sticks of cmx512-3200c2PRO and my computer has become unstable with them. Random programs will crash and the computer will restart without warning. I switched out the ram with a friend and my computer worked great and his began crashing. So I was wondering if I could RMA it?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 20, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 20, 2007 The minimum suggested voltage for these modules would be 2.7X volts. Please set this in the BIOS and see if you are still having the same issues.
deftons56
ok well when I got home I switched it from 2.65v to 2.75v and not more than 25 minutes later I was going to play a videogame and my computer restarted itself.
deftons56
putting it at 2.75v has made it much worse than when it was at 2.65v...it crashes much more frequently now. I either need to RMA this or buy some new RAM, so let me know what I should do.
DerekT
Please enter Here and list your system hardware. Please be as specific as possible. Download memtest from http://www.memtest.org and extract the ISO image. Burn the ISO image to an CD-ROM disk. Boot to the optical drive with the memtest disk and allow for two full passes. If errors occur. Shut the system down and remove the second stick.Memtest the first stick. Shut the system down and remove the first stick and replace it with the second stick. Memtest the second stick. Results?
