frank8880
hi, i really need help, here it goes: i recently received these memory modules like over a month ago, :S cant return, so i tried to contact amazon n they told me to come to corsair website to get support... in the pair of mems, theres one of them that is kinda ****ed up.. i mean, when i received them , i installed both of them w/o problem n they ran ok. .but after time, like one week or two after that, or so, they started rebooting when i was playing counter strike, like 2 mins after i started the game, rebooted itself.. then i thought it could have been some kind of video problem but i tried all settings even reset cmos a couple time n nothing so i tried testing the memories separately, one of them booted ok , there was no problem when i ran anything, but then there was the other one w/problems,that has never booted alone!, it has only booted w/the other mem set n when it wanted, sometimes it booted sometimes not (i had to wait a couple minutes n try several times, n then it used to boot when it wanted, this is what continues happening now):S and when it used to boot w/both mems,it froze (the system), i had 2.1 v 4 4 4 12 2t cas set, tried even w/default voltage n latency n even the same problem..... i really need help, what do u recommend me to do :S
DerekT
Download memtest from http://www.memtest.org and extract the ISO image. Burn the ISO image to an CD-ROM disk. Boot to the optical drive with the memtest disk and allow for two full passes. Results?

frank8880
i am sorry to inform they are dead, any setup, just do nothing, singly, both mems on, not dual channel, dual channel, theres actually no setup that will make the pc boot when that stick is on, on the other hand, the stick that has always been ok runs perfectly, i even downloaded n burnt the iso image of memtest according our dear friend derek and could only run it on the flawless stick eveything ran perfect, i even ran it twice ( 2 passes) 0 percentage of errors, everything perfect but couldnt run it on the other stick because it did nothing when it was on, thank you, ram guy, please respond what can we do then?
