wavydavy
I have requested an RMA for one of a pair of Twin2X2048-6400C4. Will I have to send back both? Hopefully not as this would leave me w/o any memory. Regards, David

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 19, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 19, 2007 I would suggest getting both modules replaced so they both match. Please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace them.
wavydavy
I was wondering about that, but what is there to match ?
DerekT
Dual channel mode requires a Twin matched pair. You must send in both modules and receive back two matched modules. All DRAM companies that sell matched Twin pair kits for Dual Channel require this for RMA. You buy them in a kit and need them to match. Timings, chips, etc. Different modules can although they have the same timings, be different chips and this can cause issues with Dual channel mode. wavydavy
Mm OK makes sense. I just sent an email to get an RMA, the online form got no response. Also ordered a new set of memory from the egg yesterday, amazed once again, got it this morning. Not sure if I will want to run with 4 gigs w/ XP. Guess I will keep the poorest performing pair as spares. A Happy Turkey Day to one and all, David
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 21, 2007 It should not take more than 24-48 business hours to get a reply excluding weekends and Holidays. If not please call them at 888-222-4346 Ext "0" or 510-657-8747 Ext "0". However I would suggest checking your spam filter or Junk folder in your email client to be sure.
