RSXHITMAN
i have twinx 5.2 right now, thinking of getting another twinx set, the second set is revision 3.1, it will be 4 x 512 total on an a8n-sli deluxe motherboard the modules are twinx1024-3200C2PTv5.2 and twinx1024-3200C2PTv3.1 the 5.2 modules i have now are 0645241-0 i cant seem to find it on the ic list how well will these 2 get along with each other, if their separated into their own dual channels? its running now at ddr333 2-3-3-6 207mhz how well will these 2 get along with each other on this board or i should completely avoid doing this the 3.1 are alot cheaper then then 2 x1 gig sticks, so i rather try this option first if it works EDIT: their 5.2 not 5.1 sorry about that

Testing to see if it works is fine, but you don't want to buy on the off-chance that it works. It's up to you, but there is no way that one can say it will work. So, if you can test to see, prior to buying then this is a good way to go but if you have to buy it and then test, well, as I said, it's a bit of a dice throw. RJLeong65 is the fellow to ask about this though. You are far better off with both twinx1024-3200C2PT versions higher than 1.xxx so the chances are pretty good they will take. You will have to drop your command rate to 2 and your dram as well. If you are overclocking you will have to find the new maximum of 4 sticks but very likely you will have to divide down to 266 and raise the CPU FSB to gain close to your past CPU speed. The good thing is that Athlons are not bandwidth saturated so this should not present any issues in speed differential. Yes, canned bandwidth benchmarks will show a difference but real life application/game use will not show much of a differential in load --> run times. This is because you would never know what might happen next. Some systems are extremely finicky about RAM matching -- and if one module is even slightly off, the system would experience repeated major crashes and/or memory dumps, or simply refuse to even POST. However, since you got it running with the memory bandwidth at 333MHz and the base HT speed of 207MHz, I'd recommend that you use Memtest 86+ v1.70 to scan your memory for errors regularly.
