bobdigi
I have a Flash Voyager GT 2gig. It died on me last month (October 07) and you guys replaced it for free. My new one isn't even 1 month old, and it seems to be dieing again. When I plug it into the usb port, the drive pops up and I can see the drive contents, but when I try to click on something, the window freezes for about 10-15 seconds and everything disappears (empty drive). It does not show up in Drive Management, nor is it usable. PLEASE tell me that I did not get another bad drive? I am a full supporter of Corsair products and I would hate to have to go looking elsewhere for my usb flash drives. Is there anything we can do about this problem? Is it only the 2 gig model that is having problems?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 16, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 16, 2007 Can you tell me the make and model of the system or MB you are using and which port you use?
bobdigi
It happens on any computer I use. One is an AOpen laptop, the other 2 I tried are custom built machines. My drive has always worked on all of these machines. One is an Asus P5W DH Deluxe, and the other is an Intel motherboard. I can get the specifics if that will help you. Edit: I've used all available USB ports on all MB's in question.
_IRIX
Hey, i have exactly the same problem with my 2GB Voyager GT! I Use it on my BIOSTAR MB, a Toshiba notebook and my office computer which is equiped with some ECS MB with INTEL Processor. The problem appeared when i tried to WIPE all the data, and format it again because of too much lost important .db files on the drive. Notning helped, fdisk, format, cfdisk, gparted even some "advanced" "Windows" apps. except ONTrack Easy Recovery. I've scanned the drive and here are the results ;\ seems too bad eh? The drive disconnects itself after the first manipulation of any kind{a try, to create a folder, a try to format it or whatever else you can do}. Then i have to reconnect it physically. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa306/_IRIX/VoyagerGT_ERR.jpg
