slumpguts Posted November 15, 2007 Share Posted November 15, 2007 HI I have a gigabyte n650sli-ds4 mobo with memory specs of 800/667/533 1.8v i am currently running gskill ram 667mhz .I was told that i could run corsair pc8500/1066 8500cd5 ram is this so, and if so do i have to alter any voltages or can i just go ahead and plug it in as im not in to overclocking. thanks; slumpguts. DerekT Posted November 15, 2007 Share Posted November 15, 2007 You would have to enter the BIOS and be certain that the memory is set to Unlinked and the Memory Frequency set to 1066Mhz. Then you would have to set the DRAM voltage to +.5v. This is not overclocking. This is just setting the DRAM to its correct specifications.
