kyaa
Hi RAM GUY and Corsair Forums support, I recently encountered a failure in one of a pair of DDR400. The symptoms showed up as a sudden reboot in Windows, as well as random error messages and/or failures when trying to run any applications. Using Memtest86+ v.1.70, I first isolated the problem to the pair of CMX1024-3200C2 (rig has 1GB pair and 2GB pair). Each of these 1GB sticks were tested to determine which specific unit(s) were causing problems and only one part returned error messages. These showed up almost right away with "moving inversions 8-bit pattern" test. I also ran short tests on the bad stick at 2.55v, 2.6v, and 2.7v; all of these produced errors in Memtest. The failed unit's model# is CMX1024-3200C2, XMS3202v2.1. What's your recommended course of action? Thanks for your time.
