peddapolly
Hi I bought a new set of Corsair CM2X1024-6400 today and I can only get 3008MB in the BIOS and Windows also only sees 3008 mb Current system: OS - Windows Vista Ultimate Motherboard - ASUS P5B Deluxe CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 2.40 Ghz Any ideas why I can´t see more memory in both BIOS or in Windows ? From what I remember XP had the problem with 3GB, but that shouldn´t be the same with Vista right ?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 12, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 12, 2007 There should be a setting in the BIOS to remap the memory, and you will need to be using a 64 Bit enabled CPU to see the full four gig as well as a 64 Bit O.S. the 32-Bit version will not see the full amount of memory. Well my CPU is 64-bit compatible at least What are the settings I have to change in BIOS ` No, you need a 64Bit OS to access the entire 4GB. To Remap your memory. Enter your BIOS: Advanced Chipset Settings NorthBridge Configuration Memory Remap Feature = Enabled
