impact2oo
Hello RAM Guy, I received BSOD indicating a memory problem and then my pc wouldn't boot up. I heard a long beep from my mobo with the C1 on the led. I tried to place the sticks into another slot and still a no go. I then removed 1 of the sticks and my pc booted up fine. I would like to RMA the bad stick, can you please help me with this? CM2X1024-6400C4D XMS2-6400 1024MB 800MHz 4-4-4-12 XMS6405v2.1 07210285 These sticks were purchased from newegg.com a year ago. Thanks, Marco
DerekT
Download memtest from http://www.memtest.org and extract the ISO image. Burn the ISO image to an CD-ROM disk. Shut the system down. Insert 1 stick in the first DRAM slot. Boot to the optical drive with the memtest disk and allow for two full passes. Do this to each slot on your motherboard. If all slots pass, then remove the first stick and insert the second stick into the first slot. Boot and test. Results?
