pkelis
i purchased this Ram Cm2x1024-6400c4 G and it doesn't seem to work with Cm2x1024-6400c4. What is so special about the "G" and why doesn't it work?
DerekT
The "G" indicates that the part is RoHS compliant, compatibility and performance are identical. Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard and then load optimized defaults and set the Memory Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings to 4-4-4-12 (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) and then test the modules one at a time with Memtest. Download memtest from http://www.memtest.org and extract the ISO image. Burn the ISO image to an CD-ROM disk. Boot to the optical drive with the memtest disk and allow for two full passes on each stick. Use the same slot. Then test one stick in all four slots.
