Budweiser_Bubba
A few days ago I bought two cmx512-3200c2pro sticks of memory for my Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboard. I installed both sticks and upon booting the LED lights worked on both sticks but locked up once window's installed. I pulled out one of them and rebooted with no problems. I pulled out that stick and put in the other one,the leds lit up,it passed the memory test and windows started to load up but, just before it gets to the user screen everything goes black and it reboots. It just keeps rebooting over and over. I've increased the voltage to 2.7 volts but that did nothing. I wanted to buy a twin matched pair but by the time I got the money saved up to buy my new ram I couldnt find any anywhere and went ahead and bought two of the same thinking it wouldnt be an issue. Hopefully it wont be.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 9, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 9, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest bios for your MB and then load optimized defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7v-2.8 volts and then set the timings to 2,3,3,6 and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! Please allow memtest to run 2-3 passes on each module. If you still get errors, we will be happy to replace them! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. Also, please list ALL of the information from the stickers on each module.
Budweiser_Bubba
Updating bios has killed my machine. It no longer reconizes my ide hard drive:mad: . This upgrade has been a pain. I'll just send the ram back and see if I can get my other computer back up because this one is just to old and slow.
