leniows
Hi, my Striker Extreme can't boot with Corsair Dominator 8500C5D. Tryed using another ram to boot and enter BIOS to change voltage. Changed to 2.1, then 2.2 and 2.3v but when I plugged back the Corsair my pc don't boot. What are the right configs for my ram to make my mobo works with it? thanks -> Corsair Dominator TWIN2X1024Gb 8500C5D 5-5-5-18 2.1v Ver2.2 ps: sorry for my bad english
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 8, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 8, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest bios for your MB and then load optimized defaults. Set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings to (5,5,5,18) and then test the modules individually with http://www.memtest.org
leniows
RAM GUY, i have already the latest BIOS for my Striker Extreme (version 1035). After starting my system with another ram, the system loaded and I get in to BIOS. Set the "default" configuration then changed the RAM VOLTAGE (or something like that) to 2.1v. Restarted and changed the module to Corsair Dominator. Started my pc but nothing. Black screen with no bips or messages. Changed the modulo again and tested with 2.2 and 2.3v but nothing. In another try changed the timings to 5-5-5-18 but nothing at all. I've tested my ram with another computer with different mobo and it started just fine.
DerekT
When you insert a single stick, do you get boot. Please try with both of the 8500s singly. Then test with both sticks in the second and fourth DRAM bank slots. Results?
