i am building a pc and i will install XP 32bit. however , since i am using this computer for gaming then i need more than 2 gig ram so i dicided to go with a 4 gig set and then i remembered the 4 gig problem with xp 32bit .

so now i am asking if there are problems other than the (3.3 gig available ram)

and whether i should take QUAD2X4096-6400C5DHX (4X1GB) or

TWIN2X4096-6400C5 (2X2GB)

the prices are the same for both

i will be using

EVGA Nvidia 680i SLI Mainboard, 122-CK-NF68-A1

EVGA 8800GT KO 512MB, (512-P3-N805-A1)

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66Ghz (1333FSB, 4mb Cache)

all suggestions are welcome :D:

thanks

Other than the limit you noted, there is no performance or stability issue running 4gb with a 32bit OS. For the 680i boards, I would suggest the TWIN2X4096-6400C5 (2X2GB). This is a great option to have if you ever decide to upgrade 64bit Vista.

We also make this memory in a DHX version.
