XTC
Hello - I seem to have suffered from the same issue posted HERE. There are 2 external rubber rings surrounding the SurvivorGT. The thinner rubber ring, the one surrounding the actual flash drive, was becoming increasingly loose. It was so loose that it made unscrewing the flash drive, from its case, more difficult because it would just spin around the casing. Any adhesive under the ring that was initially there was obviously gone. Unfortunately, this lack of adhesive under the thinner, external, rubber ring led to the rubber ring being lost. It probably slid off when removing it from my pocket. I would like to get the thinner, external, rubber ring replaced. Should I follow the previous post's advice or is there a more expeditious way to get it replaced? Also, I would like to know if the replacement external rubber ring comes with any sort of adhesive? I would think that the best adhesive for this particular application would be some sort of double-sided tape. If not, that is what I will probably use to secure it this time unless there is some reason why you think this would not be such a good idea. XTC
RamGuy - I filled out a TSX ticket and promptly received a RMA number to return my device. Is it possible to just send the rubber ring instead of me returning the whole device? I have a lot of data on it and I use it all day every day. If it possible, to whom should I speak and by what method? Thanks, Xavier
