rizbert
Just got a 8GB Voyager GT today and tried it on two laptops running Xp professional (on all USB ports) and both came up with "USB device not recognized"? I've run 4GB Lexar Firefly USB sticks on both machines with no problems. No other drivers should be required, should there?

The two laptops are a Gericom EGO 9700 (rebadged MSI-1003, XP Pro SP2) and a Dell Latitude D610 (XP Pro SP2, 1.7Ghz, 1GB Ram).
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 6, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 6, 2007 I would recommend testing the drive in the rear USB port of a desktop machine. If you are still getting the same issues, then Let's get them or it replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part! Or “Tech Support Express” and we will be happy to replace them or it, please note that you are posting from the forum!
masoud
Hi RamGuy, My USB Flash Voyager key has failed after only a few months. It was working yesterday, a little sluggish. Today, the indicator light no longer turns on and the device is not recognized on any computer (even desktop). I need the data on the drive as it contains much of my hospital research. Would it be possible for corsair to recover the contents in addition to getting the drive replaced? If corsair does not handle data recovery of a failed drive, am I supposed to approach another data recovery service? If so, can I give them permission to do whatever it takes to recover the data or would that void my warranty? Thanks, Masoud
