jaredy
Hello, I just got a HX520. I put it in a working system to replace a FSP 400watter. The HX520 powers on (indicated by the fans spinning) and it also powers my hsf/casefans/harddrives. Does everything except there is no video. In my experience the lack of video with everything powered is usually a short somewhere...I checked all the connections and such. I even just did Mobo, and video card with the FSP400watt and got it to go to BIOS. I tried the same thing with the HX520 and it was a no go...I also tried clearing CMOS. The mobo is a ECS nforce4-A939 and it should be compatible with ATX 2.01. http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?detailid=493&DetailName=Specification&MenuID=7&LanID=9 Ive seen various posts that seem to indicate a similar problem though not necessarily with my board. Im going to try and test the PSU on a friend's system and see how that fairs. But I don't really know what I can do unless you can tell me the PSU is incompatible. jaredy
I tried the HX520 on a system at work. It booted up fine on the atx 2.01 system. I still could never get it to work in my own system...but at least i know the power supply WORKS. There was a thread on this forum a couple months ago of a person seeking help with the same motherboard. I am led to believe that something with the motherboard and the PSU isn't playing nice... I do not think the PSU is bad and that a replacement will simply fix whatever odd incompatibility there is. I do plan on upgrading my system so the PSU should work out fine on a new setup. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 5, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 5, 2007 Thank you for letting us know. Please let us know if there is any way we can help. I am not aware of a specific compatibility issue with that board. You may want to do a search here to see if there are any related posts. Thank you for choosing Corsair!
