Levzi
Apologies for the new post, I couldnt find my old one, but I thought id check back and let you know that the values you've given me for my board and RAM are working perfectly. Not one hang (touch wood) since I set all the values. I cannot thank you guys enough, was getting really frustrating but now im more than happy, well apart from Creative and their non working drivers, but thats a different issue for a different forum. Thanks again Derek & Ram Guy, wicked stuff :)
DerekT
You are very welcome. Did you ever find an ACPI fix? part from Creative and their non working drivers, but thats a different issue for a different forum. Don't I know it. I deinstall and reinstall every few months. :(
Levzi
A fresh install of the OS seemed to fix it as recommended here. Havent had a single ACPI error in the event viewer since. I get the odd ! in the viewer now, mainly related to DCOM but nothing to worry about. As for Creative, its the ASIO drivers in the latest Vista drivers that dont work. Although I was told to uninstall and install some old beta's they released and its solved that problem. The main issue here is that Creative do not and will not accept responsibility for the problems, which kinda shows me Creative in a new light. Hardware is ok, software isnt. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 2, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 2, 2007 I have to say that creative has always been that way as far as I have seen. They take a classic Asian approach at service from what I have seen. But thank you for taking the time to let us know!
