Nimrodel
I got Given Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe 4x Corsair cmx512-4400c25pt (2 mached pairs, marked) AMD 64x2 4400+ (grrr 939) and a Nvidia Geforce 7950GT It worked Fine for the Previous Owner (who overclocked a bit) and Knew what he was doing, So I am Pretty sure Everything works -First I didn't Reinstall windows (not ACPI complaint BSOD) -So I Flashed the Bios to 1405 (loosing all the Previous settings  ) -Installed XP pro (media center edition) With Default Bios settings, Constant BSOD (page fault, IQRL not less than or equal, Unknown BSOD) -Now I am pretty sure its my Bios settings. I have no clue at all What To do and what Each thing did, But I started pressing buttons in bios  Mainly using This Guide The Asus Boards Told me that I was Using the Wrong sort of Ram for this board (tho is listed in the manual) and Ramguy Said "That MB will run these modules but that CPU may not over clock to the requency needed to run these modules at their tested settings, But I would suggest just trying it at 250 Mhz and lower the Multiplier and test with http://www.memtest.org and raise the CPU FSB till it topps out." So Pretty much Wondering If anyone Can help me do .... erm..that.. in terms my mother could understand :[pouts: What I currently setup Gives Memtest Errors CPU FSB Frequency [200] PCIE Frequency [100] FID/VID [auto] (auto makes 11x and unknown voltage I think) Processor Frequency Multiplier [11X] (auto's to this) (if I set Processor Frequency Multiplier 10x What voltage should I use?) PEG link mode [Disabled] K8 to NB Frequency [4X] (or auto usually) SB to NB Frequency [5X] Link [16 16] 1t/2t memory time [2t] (tryed auto) think 4 ram sticks = t2? EEC - [Disabled] DDRVCORE [2.80] (tryed 2.75 and auto) Memclock [limit] Memclock Value [200 MHz] I setup Cas [2.5] then [8] [4] [4] Everything else I left at [Auto] Gave me: Processor(s) Number of processors 1 Number of cores 2 per processor Number of threads 2 (max 2) per processor Name AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ Code Name Toledo Specification AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ Package Socket 939 Family/Model/Stepping F.3.2 Extended Family/Model F.23 Brand ID 5 Core Stepping JH-E6 Technology 90 nm Core Speed 2206.8 MHz Multiplier x Bus speed 11.0 x 200.6 MHz HT Link speed 1003.1 MHz Stock frequency 2200 MHz Instruction sets MMX (+), 3DNow! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 1, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 1, 2007 With 4 modules you would have to set the memory frequency at DDR333 please go to BIOS setup and load setup defaults and then set these settings: CPU FSB Frequency [200] PCIE Frequency [100] 1t/2t memory time [2t] EEC - [Disabled] DDRVCORE [2.80] (tryed 2.75 and auto) Memclock [limit] Memclock Value [166 MHz] I setup Cas [2.0] then [7] [3] [3] Everything else I left at [Auto] Then in BIOS disable Legacy USB support and exit saving changes and then run http://www.memtest.org on the system.
