ASUS P5E & CM2X1024-6400C4 Dual Channel problem

Hi,

I have big problem with not working memory Dual Channel on P5E mainboard.

I have 4 1GB memory modules Corsair CM2X1024-6400C4 and they are on

ASUS QVL list so they should work yes ?

Every module is fine. Every module is working fine alone or together with second module but on Single Channel (Channel A: yellow and black slot).

When I insert 2 modules to yellow or black slots (for Dual Channel working) system is not booting (my screen is black and nothing is happen).

When I insert 4 modules to four slots (for Dual Channel working) system is not booting (my screen is black and nothing is happen).

When I insert 1 module to DIMM_A1 (yelow) system is working fine.

When I insert 1 module to DIMM_A2 (black) system is working fine.

When I insert 1 module to DIMM_B1 (yelow) system is not booting. Black screen.

When I insert 1 module to DIMM_B2 (black) system is not booting. Black screen.

When I insert 2 modules to DIMM_A1(yelow)&DIMM_A2(black) system is working fine (Single Channel).

What is going on ? Is it possible that Channel B: DIMM_B1 (yellow) & DIMM_B2(black) slots are broken ?

I'm setting DRAM Voltage to 2.1V, to auto , even to 2.2V and nothing works.

I'm setting DRAM Timing Control to 4-4-4-12, auto and nothing works.

Im using newest BIOS 0303.

p.s. I have checking also with other Memory modules - GEIL 2 x 1GB and problem is the same. 2 memory modules working fine on yellow&black slots on Single Channel mode but when I insert 1 module to lower slots for Dual Channel mode system is not booting. My screan is black and nothing happen. I can't even start BIOS !

Thank you for your help.

That would suggest a problem with the MB and or BIOS, or maybe the PSU. I would suggest checking that the CPU you have is supported by the BIOS version you have installed and if it is supported then I would check the memory in a known working system and if that works properly I would test the CPU in another MB. If the memory and CPU work properly and the PSU you have has enough power I would suggest getting the MB replaced.

CPU - Q6600 Intel, this mobo is designed for this CPU

PSU - Seasonic 500W, Im sure it's enough

is it possible that those 2 lower memory slots on my mainboard are damaged ?

if so, why this mobo is normal working on Single Channel without any blue screen or something ...

Maybe CPU is damaged ? but it's working stable and fast for now
