sotero
Hello, I just bought a Corsair XMS2 Xtreme Performance TwinX Matched 2x1024 Mb DDR II SDRAM CL4 PC2-6400, but one of the sticks is completely dead.... as soon as I insert it on my pc, it just doesn't boot, tryed every slot, tryed one stick at a time, it just doesn't work, what do I have to do now? Send It to you? Do I have to send both sticks, even if one is working fine?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 30, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 30, 2007 Using the working module, please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard and then load optimized defaults and set the Memory Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings to 4-4-4-12 (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS). Once you have this configured, swap out the working module for the faulty one and if you are still having the same problems, then lets get them both replaced!
