vangelis
I'm currently running the abovementioned motherboard with the 1gb kit of TWIN2X1024-5400C4PRO...They work perfectly I would like to upgrade to a 2gib kit most preferably at 800 MHz....However this motherboard is Very picky with its RAM and can only supply a max of 1.95volts to the dimms. When i use the memory configurator i see the following modules being compatible with my mobo (found these at a good price on the net) TWIN2X2048-6400C4 TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX However for the c4 modules the required operating voltage is 2.1 when my mobo can only suply 1.95....Why are they being listed as being compatible then? I would really appreciate your help with this as i wouldn't like to spend money for something that won't work in the end....I had some bad experience with this mobo with modules from another manufacturer...thats why i'm being cautious. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 29, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 29, 2007 I would suggest TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX as they will run at 1.8 Volts.
vangelis
So is this module (TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX) guaranteed to work with my motherboard?
DerekT
So is this module (TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX) guaranteed to work with my motherboard? http://www.corsair.com/configurator/product_results.aspx?id=5233 Look at the 13th Field and you will see that the DRAM has been tested on this board and found to be working. I had some bad experience with this mobo with modules from another manufacturer...thats why i'm being cautious. You can be certain that Corsair WILL be here to support you for the lifetime of the DRAM.
vangelis
The memory configurator also lists TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX as being compatible... although my motherboard can only supply a max of 1.95v instead of the 2.1v that this module requires for operating at C4 Thats why I'm a bit sceptical about the memory configurator
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 30, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 30, 2007 I have told you the modules you should use, the C4's will not run on any MB if they cannot set the memory voltage to 2.1 Volts. Most ASUS MB's will allow you to set the memory Voltage, but this model will only set to 1.95 Volts a sI remember. I will ask the configurator team to check this MB again and get that corrected.
