Eurosim
I have one faulty pair of memory sticks CMX1024 3200C2PT v2.2. If I install them the PC will not start without re-setting the Bios, and then Memory Diagnostics reports a memory hardware problem. The other pair v8.1 works fine. As you can see, both pairs do NOT match (v2.2 & v8.1). I bought these pairs at different times, although only a few months apart, and I found out from the Asus forums that I was sold mis-matched pairs, and now one pair will not work at all. I have filled out the Online Form requesting an RMA from Corsair and I have also sent Corsair 4 emails, but over 10 days I have NOT received a reply? The Corsair registered dealer YoYo Tech in London UK, have not responded to my phone calls or emails either? All I want is matched pairs of Corsair memory. WHAT DO I DO? IS THE CORSAIR WARRANTY USELESS? Its easy to purchase things, but whenever anything goes wrong, EVERYTIME there is loads of hassle to put it right. Why is this? It makes SO angry! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 29, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 29, 2007 I am sorry you have been having trouble contacting us, your emails may be getting blocked by our spam filter. If possible, try emailing us from a different address. The best way to find out if you have a failing module, would be to do the following: Make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard and then load optimized defaults and set the Memory Voltage to 2.75 volts and then set the timings to 2-3-3-6 (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! Please allow memtest to run 2-3 passes on each module. If you still get errors, we will be happy to replace them! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. Make sure when running memtest you have “Legacy USB Support” disabled in the BIOS.
Eurosim
Thanks Corsair. Not sure if I should quote my case or RMA number on this forum? I have now at last received an RMA. I have not tried the MEMTEST program yet on each pair, but will do so. However, it is clear to me that the v2.2 pair are indeed faulty, the PC and Vista will not start with these installed. The other pair v8.1 work fine. I will be returning the faulty pair in their original package inside a padded pack, and sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery from London, UK in the next few days. IMPORTANT - I would like a replacement pair to match the ones that are OK, which are v8.1, will I get these? Thanks
