edmccloskey
I just paired the HX620W with a new Abit IP35 Pro motherboard. I really like the design of the HX620W. The modular connectors are a great idea. However, I'm having a problem with the main 24 pin power connector. It doesn't mate well with the connector on the motherboard. I don't get a "snap" when I connect them and the HX620W connector tends to slide off of the motherboard connector. So I have pushed the HX620W connector in as best I can and manually pushed the retainer clip to get it to hold. But it still doesn't seem secure. The Abit board is showing post codes of 8.2 or 8.3. showing that something is wrong with the power. Suggestions?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 29, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 29, 2007 Are you able to test the PSU on a different board/system? Does the 24-pin connector appear to be damaged? From what you are describing, this could be an issue with a faulty PSU or a faulty motherboard. The only way to know for sure would be to try the PSU on a different system. If you would like to get the PSU replaced, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part! Or “Tech Support Express” and we will be happy to replace them or it, please note that you are posting from the forum!
