morning^^

it´s running all very nice but one thing, what about with this validation for the Super PI?

I get on all tests "incorrect checksum"!

changed the ram settings to its default to test but its the same.

Is it a bad overclock?

I´m stable for min 2hours

regards pushook

Have a look in here, apparently could a problem or a bug with mod itself. Indeed I just passed the test in my work computer with a nice 20,219 seconds for a 512 K test xDDDD with the same result as you incorrect checksum, must be a bug:sunglasse

thx man / i´m wondering because memtest brings no errors!!:o:

@ derek

what do you mean is that normal that my dram needs this settings to run stable:

840Mhz -> 2.0v ->NB: 1.5v

1053Mhz-> 2.2v->NB: 1.66v to run stable?

if I don´t raise the NB to 1.65 or more I get a reboot in Prime after exact 15min.:confused:

I can't say to the Northbridge settings as I have not worked with X38. I advised the P35 because I have not worked with the X38 and am not familiar except in theoretics and other's comments on it. You chose the X38 and remember that you are not running your RAM at 1066 with a stock CPU and system. You are highly overclocked and the stream CPU<--> MCH <--> DRAM is far different on a system clocked as highly as yours is than a system with a non overclocked processor with the DRAM at 1066Mhz. I can't see that this voltage increase would hurt your board, and considering that the Northbridge on yours goes up to 1.85 and on mine goes up to 1.65V, I would say that this is normal. I have been researching and 1.61 seems a normal MCH for the moderate overclock. Just be sure to have good airflow in your case and I believe that you are fine.

I note people using 8 X 425 and using 1.61v on the Northbridge on your board so again, I think you are fine.

thx for all your help and advice derek. i have seen oc in highly overvolted ranges are not easy for a beginner like me. i have read so many forums like extremesy.....and more to start oc and all have similar systems but different results.

most of them are unhappy me to because the human wants more and want to hit the highest point on earth^^

it´s funny to see the effect its like a virus when you are infected with overclocking/benching.:cool:

will test more on dram tomorrow. see you:D:

I agree with you. I personally find 3.6 on a quad core to be more than enough for everything I do. With regards to games such as Crysis, well they are more GPU limited than anything. :)

You are very welcome and when you have found both to be stable, then once every three months or so is a good idea to run OCCT and Memtest. :)

Hi Derek again, after testing overnight with memtest 1 Stick is faulty @ stockvoltage!

no overclock for testing. I tried this because I couldn´t boot @ diffrent straps and always crashed at sime time prime testing.

So today my sys didn´t started anymore with two sticks. One stick is ok.:eek:

Hi DerekT, so my rams are on the way to the USA for warranty. In the meantime I tested with other Brand Drams and I have had problems to run memtest without errors. Tested both sticks one stick was faulty. Ok changed the parts and I got a new pair of it. Same thing on the other new pair of rams. Ok now I have changed the Drams to the corsair twin 6400C. Started memtest on default settings same thing errors after Test 2. Tested 1 stick each other one have errors other is ok. Is my asus board crap? What do you think. It´s not possible for me to realize that 4 pairs of Rams are with 1 faulty Stick!!!:eek:
