DerekT
maybe this board needs much voltage mch/fsbv from 350 to 360fsb That could be. It doesn't make much sense regarding the MCH but the FSBV is tied to the MCH on this board and not on other boards so it is a bit of an anomaly. If it works, then you have found the way around it. That CPU should easily make 3.4 - 3.6Ghz as long as you have good cooling. I'm interested in seeing if it makes 380 X 9 = 3.42Ghz. :D:

DerekT
Download the newest version of Prime95. http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Prime95-Download-76537.html It's less buggy than Orthos and will give you full quad core prime or dual core prime. DerekT
this board drives me crazy:eek: It would never have been my first choice for an overclocking board.
pushook
may its a crap board other intel xbx2/chipsets may be better for higher overclocking. i´ll stay on 350fsb. tested 370fsb and there is no way to stay 1min in windows without a reboot and i wouldn´t go on 1,7mch or 1,6 for fsb its to risky. DerekT
There's nothing wrong with that clocking. Your bus will not be saturated at 3.2Ghz. What's your DRAM at now?

What's your DRAM at now? ok i´m back to 350FSB dram is on 266/667@437mhz - 2,2v if i go to 266/800@526mhz i get bsod or reboot in windows i thought these rams can make 1066mhz? DerekT
I don't understand what you mean. Set your CPU at 266Mhz. Set your DRAM at 1066Mhz and 2.2v. Run memtest. Do you find errors?
pushook
i mean i have set the ram in bios on 266strap @ 667mhz thats 878mhz if i go on 266strap @ 800mhz thats 1053mhz and there i get reboots
DerekT
It could be strap issues. Set your CPU at 266Mhz. Set your DRAM at 1066Mhz and 2.2v. This is where you test with memtest. Do you find errors?

DerekT
max in the bios to set is 800mhz for the ram Right, you've got the Intel BX2. Your board does not support 1066Mhz natively. And strap issues can be messing it up higher than 800. Can you test this DRAM in a board that actually supports 1066Mhz DRAM? Reboots can be strap issues. Have you even tested with memtest at 1053MHz?

FredJ
Its an excellent board for moderate OC´s, the most stable 975 board of them all, but it can be a little tricky so one needs to be systematic. Theres an excellent 171 page thread over at xtremesystems.org with ALOT of useful information/experiences well worth the read if you own a xbx2. I bought my board last year regarding to this forum. i think this board didn´t right handle these rams @ 360FSB i have still strap issues at 1333mhz strap after 17min exactly at 1:1 divider when I change on 1066mhz strap i get after 2min error @ 1:1 devider at low ram settings and there are still no dram errors in memtest after 8passes
pushook
I'll be interested in the results. Hi DerekT, new system is halve ready with these rams no problems on boot:biggrin: Will test tomorrow with these G0 Q6600 on watercooling on the asus maximus SE board.
