Xoji
Yesterday I recieved my two new sticks of CORSAIR XMS 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 that I ordered online. My current motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9. When I added the new ram into the mobo, and go to boot during the post I get one long beep. If I just put in one stick of the new ram individually it works fine, side-by-side long beep. Ram, open slot, Ram, open slot normal single short beep BUT it only recognizes one stick. I have really no idea what to do now, any input would be great. And yes I am trying to add to a different brand of pc3200 ddr400 ram 512x2 I already have, but I can't get just the new corsair to work. I'm not really worried about the two brands not working together since I can't even get the two new corsair sticks to work correctly, I'm thinking it's the mobo itself. Thanks, Xavier
DerekT
I have looked for your motherboard in the Corsair Memory Configurator. Click Here To Check and can not find it. I do not think that your motherboard will work with this DRAM.
