stev
So far this thumb/jump drive is excellent! I did notice, by a stop watch, the speed it has over two SanDisk 1-Gb thumb/jump drives. Question. Is there any FREEWARE that will show the speed and data transfer to really compare the bunch? I do believe the Corsair 4Gb Survivor will win out, but by how much? ;): Peace! stev
I have found a really neat little program that benchmark tests data transfer, read, and write speeds to any type of drive. This will work with USB, cards in a card reader, normal hard drives and CD or DVD drives. http://freespace.virgin.net/roy.longbottom The program is called DiskGraf for the drives and CDDVDSpd for the discs. To test a drive, copy the extracted zip directory to the drive and run. It's a little quirky until you understand how the data is saved to retrieve. But for FREE shareware with no purchase, I can't complain! Peace! Stev
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 29, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 29, 2007 Thanks Stev and we normally suggest HD Tach to test the drives I don't have the link at the moment but I will get it for you in the morning. But they are in Japan if you do a search for it using Google it might not come up.
