Saint
Hi, I've just recently bought some Corsair TWINX 2048MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz and whenever I try to boot up with it in in slots 2/4 for Dual Channel i get a memory error and I have to move the memory to the 1/2 banks to even get my comp to complete POST. I'm not sure where to go from here, as far as I'm aware everything i have is up to date. I have the latest BIOS for my mobo and still i get the memory error on boot-up. Any help is much appreciated, as I would like to start using my memory to it's fullest soon :)
DerekT
What happens when you place them in Slots 1 & 3?

DerekT
It seems as though your system does not want to run with Dual channel mode. What size DRAM did you have in there before and did it run in Dual channel mode then? Can you post the exact model of these DRAM?
Saint
actually, just tried it with my old dual channel memory and it doesn't seem to work with that either. So odd, and i really dread having to RMA the mobo back to DFI if that's what it's going to take... any ideas?

Saint
won't even boot up now, having to reply from a friends computer to even type this =\ I get the POST beep (the normal one) and my VGA stays blank and i can't get any video now. Looking more and more like i'm going to have to return this mobo
DerekT
Are you certain you have reseated the video card correctly? If so, it would seem that RMA is the optimal choice.
Saint
Well, it would appear that in my haste to get this thing put back together so i can use it, i didn't plug the power cable in for my vid card...so that fixed the boot issue, but i am still unable to use the ram in anything but single mode
DerekT
It seems as though your motherboard has issues with Dual Channel Mode. Are you still warranted?
Saint
I'll have to hunt down the mobo paperwork, i got it about a year ago. I just finished swapping my old A8n-SLI motherboard back into my comp and it fired up right away and i just got everything back up and running and in dual channel mode, i suppose i'll see if i can RMA this other board then. Thanks again Derek :)
