kerberus
hello, ive just built my first pc from scratch and i really dont know much about computers so please fogive me if this is a stupid question. after power up tried to load vista and got so far before hdd started making funny loud clicking noise then bios didnt recognise hdd at all. am now paranoid that i have plugged hdd into wrong socket on ps and fried it. its a wd raptor so its a sata cable but does it matter which socket i plug it into or are they different voltages? (ps is corsair hx620w)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 25, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 25, 2007 You can plug the sata power connectors into any of the 5-pin slots on the PSU, just make sure they are plugged in all the way!
