I replaced my old psu in the pc and all was well. system (old) Asus A7N8x-E deluxe amd 2800+ 1.5 gig corsair ddr ram 2 seagate baracuda in raid 0 I did not try the shorting of cables bit but can only think the fan is faulty I am in the UK and will return the unit to the supplier (long wait) can you help please
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted October 25, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 25, 2007 If possible I would try to test it in another system. If it looks like its defective, then let's get them or it replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part! Or “Tech Support Express” and we will be happy to replace them or it, please note that you are posting from the forum!
grumpyoldman
Thanks for the reply. Like i said i am in England and have arranged to return the psu to the retailer in this country. i was just making sure i hadnt made a mistake (paranoid!!) and that when they replace the unit things go wrong again because of that. Later...........shorted out the green and black cables this morning and the fan worked perfectly
