Perdita
Hi folx! First post here. My question is about using MemTest vs. WinDiag for testing ram stix before RMAing it/them. I have 2 stix of CMX1024-3200PRO and one of them went bad as per testing with WinDiag. I submitted an RMA request (case # 293892), but I am wondering if they will make me re-do testing using MemTest instead? Does it really matter which test you use? I used the WinDiag before I came here and knew about MemTest. One stick tested perfect and the other had tons of errors. I had even tested them together, separate, changed slots around, etc. PLMK the thinking on MemTest vs WinDiag. Thanx much! :):
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 23, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 23, 2007 If you have the memory voltage set to 2.7X and you are consistently getting errors on one of the two modules, then lets get them replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part! Or “Tech Support Express” and we will be happy to replace them or it, please note that you are posting from the forum!
