Mistaman
I am having the same problem as another user was having with this ram and the motherboard. I tried what was suggested and it did work, BUT I was unable to OC the processor at all. The option to change the speed was grayed out. I tried running it at 2.1v and changing the timings to 5-5-5-15 2T and it wouldn't run at all. I also tried running it at 1000mhz and it would get to windows then freeze. Here are my BIOS values... Spread Spectrum* PCIE Frequency all = 100mhz PCIE Spread Spectrum = Disbaled MCP Spread Spectrum = Disabled SATA Spread Spectrum = Disabled LDT Spread Spectrum = Disabled Overclock Settings* CPU Internal Thermal Control = Disabled Limit CPUID Maxval = Disabled Enhanced C1 = Disabled Execute Databit = Enabled Virtualization Tech. = Disabled Speed Step = Disabled Volts* Vcore = 1.300v MEM = 1.85v NB = Auto/1.34 SB = Auto/1.52 Any suggestions please let me know, thanks for the help
DerekT
Try these settings. Run memtest from http://www.memtest.org if you achieve boot. Mistaman
Ok I achieved boot, and was able to run prime95 and 32M run of SuperPI. I wasn't able to make a memtest CD yet, because my test computer has the CD burner. but i will make one soon. I think a 32M run and prime oing as the same time shows its pretty stable as far as windows goes. Once I get memtest going I'll post those results
Mistaman
Did 1 Pass of memtest and no errors at "stock" settings. Now I am running at 2.8ghz on the voltages you recommended to see what happens. Will post back the results when i have them
Mistaman
At 2.8ghz it was stable for about 10 minutes and then would freeze. I tried giving a little more voltage. doing that gave me a blue screen and then I lost my network drivers. i then tried to uninstall them and now get the windows boot screen and then just a black screen. going to try a windows repair and see what happens... You tried giving what voltage? You would do well to create an image before testing with overclocking. What version is your DRAM? 1.xx or 2.xx? Mistaman
I have version 1.2 of the RAM Settings* Vcore = 1.35v Vdimm (DRAM Voltage) = 2.2v 1.2v HT: 1.35v NB Vcore: 1.35v SB Vcore: 1.50v CPU VTT: 1.35v I keep punching myself cause i want to make an image but i keep forgetting, what software do you recommend for making an image? I have been told to n-lite was a good program to use.

Mistaman
Ok so I came to find that the blue screen I got had actually meant that I fried the Ethernet ports on my mobo. I got an adapter for now because im not RMAing this mother board until I get the ram working right. So right now i can run it correctly on all stock settings, but anything other then stock it will freeze
qwer1234
Hi,Mistaman, i have the same problem before. try this setting, manually set ur voltage to 2.0V Set SLI-Ready to "OC0%". Dont OC first, try to get ur ram to 1066mhz stable first. u can refer to my other post I suspect the main problem is the voltage on the board not exact. As in, i set 2.0V, reported 2.05V
Mistaman
qwer1234, your other thread is where I started actually. I was looking for help and it was on the front page ad tried all of the suggestion there first before I made this post as to not derail your post. Those settings do infact work for me, and i was able to stress test them for long periods of time and it was perfectly stable. what im looking for now is to go beyond them to OC the cpu. Mistaman
Ive gotten it stable using qwer1234's method for about 2 days. I'm hoping to see if any one else has any ideas.
