Luca75
Hello there, I'm using one pair of TWIN2X2048-6400C4D and I would like to increase my ram size using a pair of TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX. My question is: will TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX be compatible in dual channel mode if used with my TWIN2X2048-6400C4D? I think so because they seem to have the same technical features, but I would be sure before buying them....can someone help me? Luca
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 22, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 22, 2007 They are basically the same part but we cannot promise that the MB you have will run 2 sets at the tested settings, I would suggest running the memory frequency at DDR667 at 2.1 Volts and they should run with out problems. Luca75
Thanks for your reply...I forgot to tell you that I have an Asus CROSSHAIR AM2 and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ So do you think I will able to run them at DDR800?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 22, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 22, 2007 No and I would suggest DDR667 with more than two modules, but you are welcome to try it.
