PSU or motherboard squealing???

I just got an Asus P5K Deluxe motherboard, and, on load, either the PSU or the motherboard squeals and hisses quite LOUDLY. I took that P5K Deluxe out and installed my "old" P5W-DH, and, I noticed that it too hisses and squeals, but it's much more muted.

I have doubts now, because I've been doing some reading on these forums about Corsair's PSUs squealing and hissing under load. Now I'm not sure if my HX620 is causing my motherboards to do this, or if it's just the motherboards.

I'd like some input from Corsair reps on this issue to help ease my mind. I'm already getting a replacement on the P5K Deluxe, so, if that doesn't help, then it's time to change PSUs.

If you have the PSU plugged into a surge protector or backup UPS then I would try plugging it directly into a wall outlet and see if the noise goes away. If with a new motherboard, the PSU is still quite noisy then we will want to get it replaced.

Thanks so much Ram Guy. I'll definitely let you know tomorrow!

Just a question:

Have you ever had the P5K Deluxe and the HX620 motherboard at the same time in the labs? Have you ever OCed it? Because even though the motherboard was hissing at default speed, at OC, the sound became exacerbated.

Have you ever had a case in which the PSU caused the motherboard to squeal?

Update:

Here's exactly what I did. I called Newegg (who I bought the motherboard from) and got them to send me a call tag for a return of a full refund. I didn't have time to wait for them to send me the replacement, so I overnighted another motherboard from Zipzoomfly this time. Incidentally, I trust ZZF mostly for motherboards, CPU, memory, and PSU; I've just had better experience with it that way.

And rightly so...

I got the new board in last night, and opened it up immediately. Guess what? It's a newer revision!!!!

The board Newegg sent me was a rev. 1.00G, which everything I've seen all over the internet suggested that that was all that was available. Well, this one is a 1.01G. Straightaway, I looked up toward the top left hand corner of the board, and it was totally reworked. Where Asus usually has a small metal post with a copper coil wrapped around it, there instead was another VRM and a small solid state capacitor; I sensed things already turning out well.

Installed the board, and straightaway OCed to 450FSB, all the same settings as I had previously when the board would squeal and hiss, and it is BLISSFULLY SILENT. There is a slight electrical buzz every now and then, but I'm suspecting the PSU, and even at that, it's inaudible (normal operation).

Can anyone vouch for what exactly the differences are between the 1.00G and 1.01G from a more technical standpoint?
