wavydavy
I am having some weird problems with new M/B and new P/S. At first I could not power on, after the usual T/S I put the P/S on another M/B and it powered on. Then with everything disconnected but main board power and no cards in it powered on. I tried progressively adding back perfs and could power on somewhat randomly. I am wondering if there is something in the P/S that could be causing this. Regards, David
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 22, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 22, 2007 I would recommend testing the PSU in a known working system. Also, make sure that your motherboard supports ATX 2.01 or newer PSU's, you should be able to find this info in the the motherboard manual. wavydavy
The FM has no info on ATX P/S compatability except saying the M/B needs a ATX 12 Volt P/S.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 23, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 23, 2007 If you have the PSU working on a system, and it is not working on another system, then the PSU is either not compatible with the system, or there is a problem with the motherboard.
