pakthedude
I understand there are quite a number of Rev released. After reading the review from hardwarecanucks, I believe there's a Rev featuring a Rubycon primary capicitor which is a better quality capicitor http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardwarecanuck-reviews/2562-corsair-hx620-620w-power-supply-review.html Here's the data collected after reading various reviews on Corsair 620HX PSU B0W - Hitachi, 2X 6-pin PCI-E connectors B1W - Nippon-Chemicon, 2X 6-pin PCI-E connectors B2W - Nippon-Chemicon, 2X 6+2pin PCI-E connectors What is the Rev that has both Rubycon capicitor and a pair of 6+2pin PCI-E connectors? Anyway to idenify the Rev without opening up the box?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 22, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 22, 2007 There is no way to find out which capacitors are inside the PSU without opening it up and taking a look. All of the PSU's use high grade Japanese capacitors that meet our requirements, all of which are 105C industrial grade. The difference between the brands we use is very small. If you need the PCI-E connectors, please email ramguy@corsairmemory.com with your name, address and phone number along with your request.
pakthedude
What's the current Rev. that Corsair is shipping?
Wired
Their PSU revisions may be like their memory revisions where they ship more than one revision at a time.
