Hi, guys

As the title, I wanna choose either of them to build my new system. Furthermore, I have already purchased ASUS P5K-E motherboard(P35 chipset) and I want to know which memory set has better compatibility with my motherboard. By the way, I am not a good overclocking enthusiast. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The Twin2x2048-6400 is a JEDEC standard kit of Dual Channel DRAM. It will not need any tweaking to run in your system.

The Twin2x2048-6400C4 will need you to enter the BIOS and manually set the timings to 4-4-4-12 and the Vdimm (Memory Voltage) to 2.1v.

So it's up to you.

If you want to load default settings and shut the system down, install the DRAM and not need to do anything else then the Twin2x2048-6400 is the way to go.

If you want to enter the BIOS, set the timings to 4-4-4-12 and the DRAM voltage to 2.1v then you will have a more responsive system.

So you mean the Twin2x2048-6400 is good to go? As far as I know, Intel P35 Chipset MBs are very picky and 1.8V memories are perfect for them. However, the voltage setting of Twin2x2048-6400 is at 1.9V. Anyway, thank you for your quick response.

You should have no problems with those sticks. They should work right out of the box. Just be certain to enter the BIOS and load setup defaults before shutting down and installing the DRAM. If it is a new build, then just put them in. :)

I really appreciate your help. I am gonna choose Twin2x2048-6400, because it is cheaper than Twin2x2048-6400C4. :):

The system is still going to rock with the 6400 :) If you want to overclock some, post in the Enthusiast section and you will get help there. You might want to enter here:

And set down your system specifics as well.
