thehawk
Good evening. As per title: I am about to buy new parts and wanted to know if the TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX is compatible with the ASUS P5K-E WIFI-AP mobo. I will be doing no overclocking. EDIT: http://www.corsair.com/configurator/memory_results.aspx?id=143907 says I should have no problems but better safe than sorry :) Thank you. Even though it is still 4gb, 2 modules is about 1/2 the load on the memory controller. It's easier to tune in the bios, less heat, etc.
dragon
thanks, so i would take TWIN2X4096-6400C5 G or TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX both should do right? thanks for the fast answer...
Yellowbeard
Yes, in fact that is the same part. The "G" stands for GREEN which means it is a RoHS compliant lead free product. If I am not mistaken, all of our memory will soon be RoHS compliant for the EU.
Falcon45
Someone bought me an extra 2 GByte of RAM for my desktop but it is ordinary C4 as above as opposed to C4DHX I have now. Can I combine these to get 4x1024 as they are both on the compatability list and only seem to differ in respect of the heat spreader.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 26, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 26, 2007 Yes but you may need to run the memory at DDR667 depending on the MB and CPU.
